Older Elementary addresses the needs of students ages 8-11. By this point, communication modalities and preferences are typically established. Therefore, the program has a distinct focus on improving students’ functional communication, self-advocacy,  and community participation. Students also work on daily living and self-help skills, socialization and positive behavior.
